Aron Szekely

Aron is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Futures Studies and an Associate Researcher at the Laboratory of Agent Based Social Simulation (LABSS) within the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC) at CNR.

Aron obtained his DPhil in Sociology (2015), and joined the LABSS in 2014. By training he is a sociologist with an interdisciplinary background.

His undergraduate degree is in Biology and his MSc and DPhil are both in Sociology. His research mirrors this interdisciplinarity and has examined signalling theory, group reputation, social norms, and more broadly cooperation and conflict.

Typically, he employs laboratory experiments but he has also used observational data and has collaborated on creating agent-based models.
