Nicolas Payette, PhD in Philosophy (2018) joined the Laboratory of Agent Based Social Simulation (LABSS) at the beginning of 2017. He is a Research Fellow within the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC) at CNR.
Nicolas is a computer programmer with a background in philosophy. He currently works on the simulation of criminal and terrorist networks in the framework of on the EU Horizon 2020 project PROTON, which aims at simulating the processes of recruitment to organised crime and terrorist networks.
He likes to build agent-based models and to build tools for building agent-based models. He has contributed to the development of the NetLogo platform and is the author of many NetLogo extensions.
